Description of Opportunities:

Our High School Bigs enjoy spending time with the children they are matched to and do things such as playing a game in the gym, board games, helping with homework, work on school projects and of course, laughing and talking and just being their friend.

Community Service Hour Requirements:

Volunteering to become a Big Brother or Big Sister can fulfill your community service requirements at school. Plus, you can include your volunteer work on resumes, college applications and job applications.

Being a Big Brother or Big Sister volunteer will help build leadership and communication skills, develop a sense of responsibility and provide guidance to a child who is looking for special attention.

And best of all -- it's fun!

Volunteer Opportunities:

If you are in High School and can spend 1 hour a week in the afternoon at one of our site-based mentoring programs, then you can become a High School Big!

We have site based mentoring programs at the following sites:

La Quinta Boys & Girls Club
Indio Boys & Girls Club
Coachella Boys & Girls Club
Boys & Girls Club of Desert Hot Springs
Salvation Army, Cathedral City TEAM program
Family YMCA of the Desert, Palm Desert

Program hours are Monday through Friday from 2:00-5:30 p.m. during the school year.
